Be Strong Classic and Commonwealth Crush

The Be Strong Classic, presented by Ben Eisenmenger, former host of Cincinnati's Strongest Man and Woman. The event will be hosted at The Fieldhouse in Covington, KY. The facility is all-turf, with indoor bathrooms and a concession stand. No outside food or drinks are allowed for spectators. A $5 entry is required for non-competitors.
Weigh-ins will take place at Be Strong Gym, 415 Cross St, Elsmere, KY, the day before from 6 a.m.- 12 p.m. and 3 to 6 p.m. Same-day weigh-ins will be at the venue from 8-9 am. Athletes must check in by 930 or they will be marked out. The rules meeting will be at 9:45.

Strongman Corporation membership is required for all competitors and can be purchased online at https://strongmancorporation.com/memberships/. Please note that USS and Strongman Corporation are separate entities, and you will need a Strongman Corporation membership for this competition.

Teen Men
National bids will be awarded in Open classes based on the number of athletes in each class as follows:
- 1 athlete in a class: the promoter may merge the class with another class; if the athlete competes alone they will earn an invite by completing (i.e. not “zeroing”) at least 4 of the 5 events to the standards originally set forth by the promoter.
- 2-4 athletes in a class: 1st place qualifies for Nationals
- 5-9 athletes in a class: 1st and 2nd place qualify for Nationals
- 10+ athletes in a class: 1st-3rd place qualify for Nationals
Masters Athletes qualify for America's Strongest Master by placing in the top 3 of a Masters class *or* in the top 5 of an Open class.
Teens qualify for America's Strongest Teen by participating in a Teen, Novice, or Open division.
Weigh-ins will be conducted in KILOGRAMS, and there is NO "allowance" for clothing. For example, an athlete in the 64kg class must weigh in at 64.0kg or less. Athletes must weigh in wearing (minimally) a bra and underwear.
Weight classes may be combined if there are single-person divisions. You will be notified a week before if the classes are combined.
Events:
Viking Press for reps
The athlete will begin with hands on the implement, facing either way
At the start command, the athlete will press the handles overhead and must wait for a down command before attempting the next rep
Push press and jerk are allowed
The athlete may set the implement down as many times as they wish
No split timing will be taken
The weight listed is the weight added to the implement. We estimate it to be about 80lbs empty
Conan's Wheel
The athlete will carry Conan's wheel for 3 complete revolutions and score on time. If the athlete cannot complete 3 revolutions, then the distance will be scored to the previous quarter turn.
1 min max
The athlete must carry the implement in the Zercher style, at the elbows, not at the shoulders
The implement may be set down
Athletes will determine Conan's height before check-in
Axle Deadlift for max weight, no straps!
Rising bar format, Women's classes will take 20-30lb jumps, Men's classes will use only 25s or 45s.
The athlete will get 4 attempts to lift as much weight as possible
No straps are allowed, switch grip is allowed
The athlete must return the bar to the floor after a down command; a drop after the down command will result in a missed rep
Chalk of any type is allowed, no tacky or tacky towels
Sandbag Toss
The athlete will have 60 seconds to throw 4 sandbags over a bar
Split timing will be taken when the bag hits the ground
Men are throwing over 15', women over 12.'
The athlete must throw from lightest to heaviest, only moving to the next bag after the previous one has been cleared.
Yoke to Power Stairs
The athlete will carry the yoke 40ft and then load a loaded T-bar up 3 steps for the fastest time
The step height is 15", Handle height will be about the same
Total distance will be calculated if the athlete cannot complete the whole run
The yoke must cross the line before starting power stairs
The power stairs implement must be entirely over the step, with hands off the implement for time to stop
Yoke heights will be determined during check-in
Conan's Wheel weights will be uploaded soon, as we are testing for all divisions.
Commonwealth Crush—SIGN UP BY PRESSING HERE
The Commonwealth Crush is a grip competition hosted by Ben Eisenmenger of Be Strong Gym. ArmliftingUSA sanctions this event and will be hosted alongside The BE Strong Classic Strongman competition at The Fieldhouse in Covington, KY. The first three events will mimic the first stage of the ArmliftingUSA Super Series. Any competitors can submit their numbers to the Super Series after the competition, and the lifts will be verified.
Weight Classes:
Women's: 70kg, SHW
Men's: 80kg, 100kg, 125kg, SHW, Masters 50+
(If you plan to submit your numbers to the Super Series, you will need to weigh in at your desired class for the Super Series. I am open to adding more weight classes if we have enough sign-ups.)
Weigh-ins will take place at Be Strong Gym, 415 Cross St., Elsmere, KY 41018, the day before the competition from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Same-day weigh-ins will take place at the venue.

1.75" Raptor Single Arm Deadlift for Max Weight
3" x 4" Saxon Bar Deadlift for Max Weight
Rogue Grandfather Clock Deadlift for Max Weight
2 3/8" Napalm Nightmare Deadlift for Max Reps
All lifts will be rising bar style with unlimited attempts
For a completed lift, the competitor must stand up straight with knees and hips locked and head up
If the athlete drops the weight after a down command, the lift is no good
Once a lift is missed, you are out
Scoring will be percentage style (Example: 1st place lifts 200lbs, 2nd place lifts 150lbs, 1st will get 100 points, 2nd will get 75 points. The competitor with the most total points at the end will win.
Any chalk is allowed, no sticky materials allowed
Athletes may wear belts and knee sleeves, but no assistive equipment is allowed on the arms
