National bids will be awarded in Open classes based on the number of athletes in each class as follows:
- 1 athlete in a class: the promoter may merge the class with another class; if the athlete competes alone, they will earn an invite by completing (i.e., not “zeroing”) at least 4 of the 5 events to the standards originally set forth by the promoter.
- 2-4 athletes in a class: 1st place qualifies for Nationals
- 5-9 athletes in a class: 1st and 2nd place qualify for Nationals
- 10+ athletes in a class: 1st-3rd place qualify for Nationals

Masters Athletes qualify for America's Strongest Master by placing in the top 3 of a Masters class *or* in the top 5 of an Open class.

Teens qualify for America's Strongest Teen by participating in a Teen, Novice, or Open division.

Weigh-ins will be conducted in KILOGRAMS, and there is NO "allowance" for clothing. For example, an athlete in the 64kg class must weigh in at 64.0kg or less. Athletes must weigh in wearing (minimally) a bra and underwear.

Weight classes may be combined if there are single-person divisions. You will be notified a week before if the classes are combined.

Trump Log Press for Reps

-There will be two log options for pressing, one light and one heavy. The athlete may choose either log to press for max reps in 60s. The athlete must wait for a down command to receive credit for the rep. The athlete does not need to clean the log between reps. Any reps on the heavier log beat reps on the lighter log. You may switch logs at any time, but only reps on the heavier log count. For example, you press 1 rep with the lighter log and then 1 rep with the heavier log. You will be credited for only 1 rep with the heavier log. Another example: if you press 2 reps with the log, you will not get extra points for going back to the lighter log for more reps. Men will use 12" logs from pads. Women will use 8" and 10" logs from pads.

Equipment not allowed: elbow wraps, tacky.

Sandbag Run the Bases

-The athlete will have 60 seconds to pick up a sandbag and carry it for max distance around a baseball diamond-shaped course. Once the athlete drops the sandbag, the set is finished. The athlete will be credited for how many bases they pass, not exact distance. For example, if the athlete carries the sandbag around 5 bases and drops the bag before reaching the 6th base, they will be given credit for 5 bases (a home run and a single).

Equipment not allowed: tacky

13" Deadlift for Max Reps

-The athlete will have 60 seconds to perform as many deadlift reps as possible with a power bar using 26er plates to set the bar at 13" from the floor. The athlete will start behind the bar and may strap in after time starts. Athletes must wait for a down command to get credit for the rep.

Equipment not allowed: deadlift suit (briefs allowed), tacky, no sumo stance allowed.

Sandbag Toss for Max Weight

-Athletes will have 3 attempts to throw the heaviest bag possible over a bar. Women and Novice will throw over a 14" bar; Open men will throw over a 15'6" bar. Bags will start lightest to heaviest, and athletes may jump in at any point to attempt. Athletes will have 30 seconds per attempt to get the bag over. Athletes may attempt a weight again or go up after a miss, but cannot go down in weight after a miss. The ceiling is 19", so athletes must consider trajectory when throwing. If the bag is clearly going over the bar but hits the net and bounces back, the judges will decide whether the repetition counts.

Sandbag weights: 15/17/22/25/31/35/40/45/50/55/60

Death Medley

-Athletes will be given 60 seconds to complete the full run with three implements, twice: Sled push, Zercher yoke carry, sandbag carry. The athlete will start behind the line. On the go command, the athlete will push a sled 30 ft across a line, then move to the Zercher yoke carry for 30 ft, followed by a sandbag carry for 30 ft. Perform this combination twice for the fastest time. We will score the total distance if you do not complete the full sequence. We will set the yoke height for each division.
